CLEAN & GO / CHECKLIST
Our Cleaning Checklist
A practical room-by-room checklist for defining your cleaning brief and checking the property before handover.

Kitchen
Check the worktops, splashbacks, cupboard surfaces, sink, taps and accessible edges. Empty cupboards if internal cleaning is required, and list appliance interiors separately. Look behind small items you remove from the worktop, but do not move a connected appliance without a suitable plan.
- Worktops, splashbacks and accessible surfaces
- Sink, taps and cupboard surfaces
- Hob and extractor scope agreed in advance
- Oven, fridge and freezer interiors specifically listed
CHECKLIST
Bathrooms
Inspect basin, bath, shower, toilet, accessible tiles, screens and floor edges. Distinguish removable residue from damaged grout, failed sealant or etched finishes. Raise leaks and persistent mould as maintenance issues rather than assuming extra scrubbing will resolve them.
- Basin, toilet, bath and shower fittings
- Screens and accessible tiled surfaces
- Taps, ledges and floor edges
- Existing damage and maintenance recorded

CHECKLIST
Bedrooms and living spaces
Once belongings are removed, inspect accessible furniture surfaces, skirting boards, switches, ledges and floors. If furniture remains, confirm what can be moved safely and whether cupboard interiors or upholstery are part of the brief.
- Accessible furniture and empty storage
- Ledges, skirting boards and switches
- Floor surfaces and room edges
- Carpet and upholstery treatments separately agreed
CHECKLIST
Hallways, windows and appliances
Hallways can collect dust during removals, so include them in the final pass. Confirm the window scope: internal glass does not automatically mean exterior access. Appliances should be emptied and cool where required; freezer preparation needs to follow its instructions.
CHECKLIST
Make the checklist specific
Use this as a planning aid, then confirm the exact list with your quote. A furnished property, a delicate surface and a separate carpet treatment each change the work. The check-in inventory gives the relevant comparison for a tenancy handover; cleaning cannot guarantee an inspection result.
