CLEAN & GO / GUIDE
How Clean Should a Rental Property Be When You Leave?
Use the starting record to judge the cleaning needed rather than assuming a property must look brand new.
DISCUSS YOUR PROPERTY ↗GUIDE
Read the starting description
The check-in inventory and photographs help establish cleanliness at the beginning. Compare the actual property, room by room, and address removable dirt in the areas you are responsible for. Cleaning standards and the age of the fittings are different questions.
GUIDE
Focus on specific tasks
Accessible cupboards, kitchen grease, bathroom residue and floor edges are easier to assess than the word “spotless”. List the tasks you need to complete and discuss fragile materials or permanent marks separately.

GUIDE
Keep evidence of the handover
Take photographs with enough context to identify the room and surface. Save cleaning correspondence and the checkout report. A commercial cleaning receipt can support your record but cannot determine a deposit assessment on its own.
